Welcome to

Crystal Bead Bazaar

Where "It's all about the beads!"

I opened my store in June of 2003 as a result of being frustrated trying to find just the right beads and findings without having to resort to ordering on line or through a catalog.   Well, that and the fact that I could not stop buying beads.

Now I have the pleasure of buying beads for all of you.   I have always been fascinated by faraway lands and exotic cultures, and the global aspect of beads has always interested me.   My shop is painted in the bright colors of an exotic marketplace, and I place an emphasis on the origins of the beads.

Maybe it is because man has been stringing beads since the beginning of time, but I find something very basic in working with beads.   My aim is to provide a friendly, comfortable atmosphere for all, no  matter what skill level, to share in the comraderie of beading.

Come join us.

Crystal's Corner

I wish to take this opportunity to thank everyone who visited us during our 5th anniversary celebration.   You helped make our event a huge success!!

The Swarovski trunk show was a great hit.   A whole table full of bliiiiiing!!   And the sparkle factor was really turned on by the 2xAB bicones.   I never realized how beautiful those beads were!   Well, as it happens.....

Our main crystal supplier had made the decision that they only wanted to carry the specialized Swarovski, and were no longer going to handle bicones, rounds and cubes.   So I had to look for a new supplier.   As fate would have it, a new customer, also new to Pittsburgh, told me about this wonderful woman from whom she buys crystal.   I went on a road trip, checked her out, and came home with (guess what)  4 and 6 mm 2xAB bicones, in lots of yummy colors.   Funny how things work out.
