St. Petersburg Chain

Join bead artisan Jeanne Shuff to learn to stitch the St. Petersburg chain.

Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Class is suitable for those who can use a needle and thread and who love small beads!

Class Charge: $40.00. Materials extra.

Supply List

• Fireline 6 or 8 lbs'

• Beading needle size 10 or 12

• 1 tube Size 11 seed beads

• 1 tube Size 8 seed beads

• 2 strands 4mm Czech firepolish crystals ( 50 per strand, 100 beads total)

• 1 Clasp Lobster Claw & a soldered ring or clasp of your choice.

• Optional: Focal bead*, soldered ring, Swarovski bicones and head pins to embellish the focal bead if vertically drilled.  

*If adding a focal bead, two equal lengths of woven chain are required so that the focal bead can be added and the chain is pointing the same direction on both sides of the focal bead.

Each side of the chain on the class sample was approximately 10 inches long and used 39 Czech fire polish beads.

If making a choker or lariat one continuous St. Petersburg Chain may be desired
